Do you ever wonder why there are so many floating markets in Thailand? And if you have just a short time in Bangkok how do you know which one is worth visiting?
Many of you have a dream before you come to Thailand. You’ve seen pictures of floating markets and they look so beautiful and authentic in the photos. You tell yourself ‘I gotta go see this shit when I get there’ but then when you get to the floating market it turns out to be nothing like the picture! And you get disappointed and beat yourself up ‘What’ve I done?! The hell am I doing here? But my travel agent booked me this trip’ …Of course they did…Here’s the thing all of the travel agents will send you to the same floating market and that’s why they are full of tourists! Well…you can’t blame them for this though, you didn’t tell them which floating market you wanted to go to. No no no I didn’t say it’s your fault either, because you didn’t know there are so many freaking floating markets!
We’ve done some research work for you and compiled a helpful guide too. Here are some links to Floating Markets around Bangkok and some details of each place. They give you full information and pictures, and it might help you decide. As I’m a local…number 5. Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is the most famous one and everyone knows about it, so you do the math.
